A January membership meeting was called to order @ 7:00 p.m. by Commodore Robert LaBuff. A moment of silence was held for a longtime member, Bruce Collier, who passed away in <\/span>December.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Bill Fortman asked that the secretary read the 12\/06\/12 Newsletter. It was read, and Bill <\/span>Fortman made a motion to approve, seconded by Gary Vanucchi and carried. The Board <\/span>minutes, {01\/07\/13} was read and Bill Fortman made a motion to approve, seconded by Tony <\/span>Perzanowski and carried.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\n\tFinancial Secretary – Barbara Vriale reported the deposits for the month of November, at the <\/span>board meeting on 01\/07\/13.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Treasurer-A detailed financial report prepared by Clark Henderson was reviewed and approved <\/span>with a motion by Tony Perzanowski, seconded by Ken Klingerman.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dock master- Tony Perzanowski reported the docks will need a lot more work this year, which <\/span>means spending a lot more money.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Vice Commodore- Gary Vanucchi reported Bud and Lenore Whitcomb could not attend this <\/span>meeting, because they were skiing in Maine. Bud wanted the club members to know that he is <\/span>proud to be the dock master and he is happy to have Vincent Wallace and Leonard Asaro as his <\/span>assistant dock masters. Gary spoke to Joe Vriale and Joe said Barbara is doing well after having <\/span>her gallbladder out. Gary also thanked Bob LaBuff for being Commodore and doing a great job.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\n\tCommodore- Bob LaBuff thanked Tony Perzanowski for being dock master for the last two years <\/span>and doing a great job. Bob also thanked the members for all their help at different times, with <\/span>different things and with the pig roast event and thanked everyone for a good year and thanked <\/span>Lee Ramsdell and Bruce Blakeslee for the great job they did on the clubhouse.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\n\tSPECIAL EVENTS:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Tony and Vicky Perzanowski will be hosting a Filet Minion Dinner, with appetizers at 5:00 p.m. <\/span>at the clubhouse, Saturday, January 19th, 2013. To R.S.V.P., Please call Tony @518-622-9777<\/a>. <\/span>Money made from this event will be earmarked for the natural gas insert for the fireplace, and <\/span>if any left over, will go towards a unit with four or five drawers in the kitchen to hold the large <\/span>utensils, silverware, towels, etc.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\n\tJoe Vriale will be doing a Super Bowl Pool for February 3rd, 2013. He will also chair a St. Patrick`s <\/span>Day Dinner on Saturday, March 16th, 2013 and a Irish Breakfast on Sunday, March 17th, 2013. <\/span>Please contact Joe at 518-622-2808<\/a> for more information on Super Bowl Pool, and March event <\/span>information in next month`s newsletter.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

TONY PERZANOWSKI VOLENTEERED TO CHAIR A PIG ROAST THIS YEAR. HE REQUESTED IT BE A MANDATORY FUNDRAISER, EVERY MEMBER MUST BUY A RAFFLE TICKET. IF THIS DOES NOT GET <\/span>VOTED IN BY JUNE, HE WILL DROP OUT AND SOMEONE ELES CAN TAKE IT OVER. THERE WILL <\/span>BE AMPLE TIME TO SELL THE TICKETS.THERE WAS ALSO DISCUSSION TO EARMARK THE PROFITS <\/span>FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE CLUBHOUSE.THE MEMBERS THAT WERE PRESENT AT <\/span>THIS MEETING AGREED THAT WE NEED TO ENCOURAGE MORE MEMBER PARTICAPTATION, <\/span>WITH THE PENALTY OF ASSESEMENT MANDATORY. THE PROPOSALS WERE PRESENTED <\/span>WITH REGUARD TO ISSUES THAT AFFECT ALL OF THE MEMBERS OF THE CLUB AND MAY BE <\/span>CONTROVERSAL AND EXPECTED TO HAVE A THERAL DISSCUSSION AT THE NEXT GENERAL <\/span>MEMBERSHIP MEETING WHERE BOTH OF THOSE PROPOSALS WILL BE DISCUSSED. THE FIRST <\/span>PROPOSAL IS TO MAKE THE PURCHASE OF A TICKET FOR THE PIG ROAST MANDATORY, ONE <\/span>HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR THE TICKET, FOR TWO PEOPLE. THE SECOND PROPOSAL THAT MAY BE <\/span>ADDRESSED IS TO EARMARK THE PROFITS FOR CAPITAL INPROVEMENTS FOR THE CLUBHOUSE. <\/span>ALL MEMBERS PLEASE ATTEND FOR FURTHER DISCUSSION ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 7 th, 2013. <\/span>TONY IS PUTTING A COMMITTEE TOGETHER.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

AUDIT- At the board meeting {01\/07\/13}, after discussion about the audit, Ed Legg made a <\/span>motion to skip the audit this year. Tony Perzanowski seconded and carried.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

WAYS AND MEANS WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 2nd, 2013 AT 2:00 P.M. AT THE <\/span>CLUB. ALL INTERESTED, PLEASE ATTEND.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\n\tOld Business- Laura Ferguson wrote a letter to the board, December 1, 2012, asking that her <\/span>name be taken off of the membership list in good standing as of December 1, 2012.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\n\tTHERE WAS DISCUSSION ON WHEN THE COUNTY PROPERTY GOES UP FOR SALE, THE CLUB <\/span>WOULD BE LOSING 17 SLIPS,AND THE ANCHORAGE TO THE BRIDGE EMBUTTMENT, LOSING <\/span>INCOME AND LABOR, LOSING MEMBERS, AND DOUBLING DUES AND WORK HOURS. THERE <\/span>WAS DISCUSSION ON HOW MUCH THE PROPERTY WOULD GO FOR AND HOW MUCH WE <\/span>WOULD NEED JUST TO PUT DOWN AT LEAST TWENTY TO THIRTY PERCENT ON A COMMERCIAL <\/span>LOAN. WE DO NOT HAVE THIS KIND OF MONEY SAVED UP.THIS IS ONE REASON WE NEED TO <\/span>HAVE ASSESMENTS AND MORE MONEY MAKING EVENTS.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\n\tNew Business- Bill Fortman reported the water in the bathroom sink runs continuously and <\/span>needs to be turned off and the sink needs to be replaced.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n


\n\tAt the board meeting {01\/07\/13}, the outstanding bills for duty day were discussed, and <\/span>Tony Perzanowski made a motion that we give Daroll Hutson and Mike Sharkey until January <\/span>15th, 2013 to pay up their bills, and if Barbara Vriale does not receive the payments by that <\/span>date, the member will be terminated. Gary Vanucchi seconded and carried. At the regular <\/span>membership meeting {01\/10\/13}, the board recommended this to the general membership. <\/span>Vicki Perzanowski made a motion to accept the board’s recommendation. John Smith seconded. <\/span>There were ten members for the motion and one member opposed. The motion was carried.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
