A January membership meeting was called to order @ 7:00 p.m. by Commodore Robert LaBuff. A moment of silence was held for a longtime member, Bruce Collier, who passed away in December.
Bill Fortman asked that the secretary read the 12/06/12 Newsletter. It was read, and Bill Fortman made a motion to approve, seconded by Gary Vanucchi and carried. The Board minutes, {01/07/13} was read and Bill Fortman made a motion to approve, seconded by Tony Perzanowski and carried.
Financial Secretary – Barbara Vriale reported the deposits for the month of November, at the board meeting on 01/07/13.
Treasurer-A detailed financial report prepared by Clark Henderson was reviewed and approved with a motion by Tony Perzanowski, seconded by Ken Klingerman.
Dock master- Tony Perzanowski reported the docks will need a lot more work this year, which means spending a lot more money.
Vice Commodore- Gary Vanucchi reported Bud and Lenore Whitcomb could not attend this meeting, because they were skiing in Maine. Bud wanted the club members to know that he is proud to be the dock master and he is happy to have Vincent Wallace and Leonard Asaro as his assistant dock masters. Gary spoke to Joe Vriale and Joe said Barbara is doing well after having her gallbladder out. Gary also thanked Bob LaBuff for being Commodore and doing a great job.
Commodore- Bob LaBuff thanked Tony Perzanowski for being dock master for the last two years and doing a great job. Bob also thanked the members for all their help at different times, with different things and with the pig roast event and thanked everyone for a good year and thanked Lee Ramsdell and Bruce Blakeslee for the great job they did on the clubhouse.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
Tony and Vicky Perzanowski will be hosting a Filet Minion Dinner, with appetizers at 5:00 p.m. at the clubhouse, Saturday, January 19th, 2013. To R.S.V.P., Please call Tony @518-622-9777. Money made from this event will be earmarked for the natural gas insert for the fireplace, and if any left over, will go towards a unit with four or five drawers in the kitchen to hold the large utensils, silverware, towels, etc.
Joe Vriale will be doing a Super Bowl Pool for February 3rd, 2013. He will also chair a St. Patrick`s Day Dinner on Saturday, March 16th, 2013 and a Irish Breakfast on Sunday, March 17th, 2013. TONY PERZANOWSKI VOLENTEERED TO CHAIR A PIG ROAST THIS YEAR. HE REQUESTED IT BE A MANDATORY FUNDRAISER, EVERY MEMBER MUST BUY A RAFFLE TICKET. IF THIS DOES NOT GET VOTED IN BY JUNE, HE WILL DROP OUT AND SOMEONE ELES CAN TAKE IT OVER. THERE WILL BE AMPLE TIME TO SELL THE TICKETS.THERE WAS ALSO DISCUSSION TO EARMARK THE PROFITS FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE CLUBHOUSE.THE MEMBERS THAT WERE PRESENT AT THIS MEETING AGREED THAT WE NEED TO ENCOURAGE MORE MEMBER PARTICAPTATION, WITH THE PENALTY OF ASSESEMENT MANDATORY. THE PROPOSALS WERE PRESENTED WITH REGUARD TO ISSUES THAT AFFECT ALL OF THE MEMBERS OF THE CLUB AND MAY BE CONTROVERSAL AND EXPECTED TO HAVE A THERAL DISSCUSSION AT THE NEXT GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING WHERE BOTH OF THOSE PROPOSALS WILL BE DISCUSSED. THE FIRST PROPOSAL IS TO MAKE THE PURCHASE OF A TICKET FOR THE PIG ROAST MANDATORY, ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS FOR THE TICKET, FOR TWO PEOPLE. THE SECOND PROPOSAL THAT MAY BE ADDRESSED IS TO EARMARK THE PROFITS FOR CAPITAL INPROVEMENTS FOR THE CLUBHOUSE. ALL MEMBERS PLEASE ATTEND FOR FURTHER DISCUSSION ON THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 7 th, 2013. TONY IS PUTTING A COMMITTEE TOGETHER.

AUDIT- At the board meeting {01/07/13}, after discussion about the audit, Ed Legg made a motion to skip the audit this year. Tony Perzanowski seconded and carried.
WAYS AND MEANS WILL BE HELD ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 2nd, 2013 AT 2:00 P.M. AT THE CLUB. ALL INTERESTED, PLEASE ATTEND.
Old Business- Laura Ferguson wrote a letter to the board, December 1, 2012, asking that her name be taken off of the membership list in good standing as of December 1, 2012.
THERE WAS DISCUSSION ON WHEN THE COUNTY PROPERTY GOES UP FOR SALE, THE CLUB WOULD BE LOSING 17 SLIPS,AND THE ANCHORAGE TO THE BRIDGE EMBUTTMENT, LOSING INCOME AND LABOR, LOSING MEMBERS, AND DOUBLING DUES AND WORK HOURS. THERE WAS DISCUSSION ON HOW MUCH THE PROPERTY WOULD GO FOR AND HOW MUCH WE WOULD NEED JUST TO PUT DOWN AT LEAST TWENTY TO THIRTY PERCENT ON A COMMERCIAL LOAN. WE DO NOT HAVE THIS KIND OF MONEY SAVED UP.THIS IS ONE REASON WE NEED TO HAVE ASSESMENTS AND MORE MONEY MAKING EVENTS.
New Business- Bill Fortman reported the water in the bathroom sink runs continuously and needs to be turned off and the sink needs to be replaced.
At the board meeting {01/07/13}, the outstanding bills for duty day were discussed, and Tony Perzanowski made a motion that we give Daroll Hutson and Mike Sharkey until January 15th, 2013 to pay up their bills, and if Barbara Vriale does not receive the payments by that date, the member will be terminated. Gary Vanucchi seconded and carried. At the regular membership meeting {01/10/13}, the board recommended this to the general membership. Vicki Perzanowski made a motion to accept the board’s recommendation. John Smith seconded. There were ten members for the motion and one member opposed. The motion was carried.
