A November membership meeting was called to order @ 7:00 p.m. by Commodore Gary Vanucchi.
A motion by Joe Vriale to waive the reading of the previous meeting was seconded by Ken Kligerman and carried. The Board minutes were read and approved by Barbara Vriale, seconded by Joe Vriale and carried.
Financial Secretary – Barbara Vriale reported the deposits for the month of October, {$1,440.40}. Billed duty days owed totaled $2,850.00. Dock hours due totaling $1,862.50. Winter storage due totaling $2,310.00 A motion by Joy Zanchelli to approve the Financial Secretary`s report was seconded by Joe Vriale.
Treasurer- Clark Henderson went over a detailed financial report {11-04-13}. {11-07-13}- After discussion Barbara Vriale made a motion to accept Clark`s financial report, Joe Vriale seconded and carried.
Commodore- Gary Vanucchi reported the board went over the By- Law changes, the rules of the club for associate members changes and the rules and regulations governing dockage at the Catskill Yacht Club changes. The Board recommends them to the membership and will be voted on at the general membership meeting on December 5th, 2013. { posted 11/04/13, copies are available at the club, brief summary notes attached to this newsletter.}
Dock master-Bud Whitcomb reported all the docks are out and thanked all the people who helped. Bob Hoffman filled out the book that Vince Wallace made. Bud will make a list of materials that we will need for next year. Joe and Barbara Vriale made up a sheet for Bud to keep better track of the dock hours. Lenore will hang the book for the associate members hours in the shed. There are some weaknesses in the docks that will have to be fixed. We scrapped the petti bone and Bud thanked Aaron Matthews for coming down to the club with his truck and equipment trailer to bring it to Calvettas. We will get $1,100.00 for it when we get the tires swapped. Bud thanked John Decker for doing a great job on redoing the pump out lines.
Assistant dock master Lenny Asaro asked that anyone pumping their boat out next year, to please fill in on the paper provided in the pump out, only the boat name, gallons {estimate} and date needed, so when the paperwork is turned in, we may receive some money back from the state.
Vice Commodore- Jim Gribben reported that the duty day chart for 2014 will be up in the clubhouse by the next regular membership meeting. PLEASE SIGN UP FOR YOUR DUTY DAY EARLY FOR 2014! The Party at Wayne`s Pub was not a good turnout. Wayne donated one hundred dollars back to the club. Jim thanked Wayne for the wonderful prime rib dinner and for the printing he does for us.
Reports:
Bar- Jim Gribben reported the bar is slow now, but Jim was happy with the season we had. November 21st, Lenny Rein is having the Greene County Police Association Party here at the clubhouse.
Building Committee Chairman- Vicky Perzanowski thanked Tony and all the other members who helped clean the clubhouse this season. If anyone needs supplies for their party please call Tony or Vicky @ 518-821-5258 or 518-622-9777.
Grounds Committee Chairman – John Ferguson`s report {11-04-13}- The season is coming to an end. If any member knows of any ground work that should be done, please contact me at 518-821-4294. I still have some members looking for hours. Corey Fong will be changing the oil in the lawn mower and raking the yard. Jeff Fromer will be bringing down two loads of number two stone this week for the ramp and other places that need it. Bruce Transue will be changing the blades on the lawn mower and cleaning the bottom of the tables. I donated two ramps for the lawn mower or for anything else that they can be used for at the club. I picked up oil filter for oil change, K&D will do and bill us. Thank you to everyone who helped on the grounds this year. Special thanks to Jerry Kriloff for all his work, Brook for all his hours and Dave and Kathie Becker for all the beautiful flower beds.
Gas Chairman- Joe Vriale reported the pumps are out and the wires are color coated so it will be easy to put in next year. We will need two new sections of hose by the nozzle. Joe will get prices for Ways and Means meeting.
Dock Rental Chairman- Joy Vanucchi reported our grand total for the year was $7,506.00 dollars. She read her letter {Board approved 11/04/13}, that will be added to the members dockage billing. John Smith made a motion that we adopt the letter as procedures and policies for transient rental to associates members and or regular members for the 2014 boating season. Joe Vriale seconded and carried. Thank You Joy for the excellent job you have done!

New Business- Tony Perzanowski read his letter to members about the length and width of a boat, limiting the beam to twelve feet, six inches. After he read his letter, which asked the board to remove the recommendation of the limiting the beam to twelve foot six inches, or asking the membership to vote it down and implement the extending of the south main as he explained he told the board that he will give them the documentation so the board can go over it.
Lenore Whitcomb announced that in March, 2014 she and Bud will be having a ” March Gloomy Day Party” up at Winterclove Inn, possibly an overnight. Dinner, bar, bowling, entertainment. She will be putting this together and get back to us with more details at a later date.
Daryl Legg would like to rent the clubhouse on Saturday, December 21st, 2013. After discussion {11-04-13}, Clark Henderson made a motion to allow Daryl rent the clubhouse on 12-21-13. Barbara Vriale seconded and carried.
Old Business- There was discussion for a screen for the fireplace. After discussion the board approved one hundred and fifty dollars for the screen.
