An August membership meeting was called to order @ 7:00 p.m. by Commodore Gary Vanucchi
A motion by Barbara Vriale to waive the reading of the previous meeting was seconded by Joe Vriale and carried. The Board minutes were read and approved by Joe Vriale, seconded by Barbara Vriale and carried.
Financial Secretary – Barbara Vriale reported the deposits for the month of July, {$2,196.00}. All members need to send a valid insurance certificate to Barbara, before launching your boat. Barbara made a chart up for Bud to keep track of dock hours. Barbara is now keeping track of associate members hours and asked that all committee chair people please contact her if any associate member works for them. A motion by Joy Zanchelli to approve the Financial Secretary`s report was seconded by Lenore Whitcomb..
Treasurer-A detailed financial report prepared by Clark Henderson for {08-01-13}, was reviewed {07-29-13} by the board. At the regular membership meeting the report was reviewed and approved with a motion to accept Clark Henderson’s financial report by Joe Vriale, seconded by Barbara Vriale.
Commodore- Gary Vanucchi reported that the fifty dollar assessment for each full member was posted in the newsletter and in the clubhouse for thirty days. Jim Gribben made the motion to go ahead and vote on the assessment. Bill Fortman seconded. The vote was passed ten yes, three no. Barbara Vriale reported that the fifty dollar assessment payment must be made on or before September 30th, 2013 to her.
Dock master- Bud Whitcomb reported {07-29-13} that he has paint for the shed. He thanked Bill Fortman, Larissa and Stan Morby and Dave Becker for helping to secure Jim Davis`s boat to the bridge, before the last storm. One finger will have to be rebuilt, due to the damage done to it. Bud had to replace a few boards on the docks. {08-01-13}- Lenore reported for Bud} Bud thanked John Ray for finishing painting all the docks. The pump out is not working and Daryl is looking into it. Haines tire needed to see the tires before they could give Joe a price. Joe is going to call Becker`s tire for a price. Vince Wallace is going to make a dock book with listing every dock separately, documenting what is wrong with each dock so it will be easier in the spring, to know what is wrong with each dock. Bill Fortman suggested to pack up the pump out, and ship it back to the manufacturer. Lenore will relay the message to Bud.
Vice Commodore- Jim Gribben reminded members that the Commodore`s Party will be on September 28th, 2013- SEE FLIER. There are a lot of duty days to be filled for August and September, so please sign up.
Commodore Gary Vanucchi thanked Lee Ramsdell for putting the new sink and toilet in the men`s bathroom. Gene Gordon sent in a letter of resignation to the club. Commodore Vanucchi gave him fifteen and a half hours of his, to make him a member in good standing. All members at this meeting agreed to this.
Reports:
Bar- Jim Gribben thanked Uwe for cooking at the clubhouse the last few weekends. Jim thanked everyone for keeping the bar area clean.
Building Committee Chairman- Vicky Perzanowski-{no report} – If you have any questions or need work hours, please call 518-821-5258 or 518-622-9777.
Grounds Committee Chairman – John Ferguson- {07-29-13} – Secretary read report as follows, Jerry Kriloff has been weed whacking and spraying. John thanked Jerry for that. The boats and trailers next door need to be weed whacked under and around them. Jerry will be painting the shed. If any member or associate member needs hours, please call John at 518-589-0142. We need people to weed whack and for grounds clean up.
Gas Chairman- Joe Vriale reported the doors are stained and on the gas holding tank. Everything is working fine.
Dock Rental Chairman- Joy Vanucchi reported that dock rentals for July totaled $1,674.00 dollars for eight people. Joy asked that associate members renting docks to please have your application, insurance certificate, and your check turned into her before you launch your boat. Members, please have your name plates on and at the correct boat dock. You can contact Joy @ 518-943-0840. The rental people and dock number is posted up on the board in clubhouse.
IF ANY MEMBER HAS SOMETHING GOING ON AT THE CLUB AND YOU WOULD LIKE THE MEMBERS TO KNOW, YOU CAN WRITE IT ON THE BOARD HANGING ON THE WALL BY THE DOOR.

The club received a letter back from the Commercial Driver training school, letting us knows that we should have no more problems with their clients coming on clubhouse property and the D.M.V. inspector also talked to Jim Gribben about it.

Council- no report
New Business- Bill Fortman reported that it was in the newspaper that the county will be auctioning off the property next door. There are at least twenty docks on that property. There was more discussion about this. The board will discuss this issue at the next meeting.

The Hook Boat Club is having a steak roast at their clubhouse on Saturday, August 17th, 2013. If you are interested in going, contact the Hook Boat Club, or ask any of the members from our club who are going to attend.
